Expert meeting of sustainable outreach cinema
After 10 years of extensively working on inspiring others to start up a solar powered mobile cinema and democratise cinema by bringing it to the most remote parts of the world. We are bringing together our passionate partners and aspirant partners to exchange our knowledge, experiences and work on future projects to further extend our project and create more impact.
Reaching to meet and promote the Sustainable Development Goals on many levels of our practise. An intensive week of peer to peer training will be held in Tilburg The Netherlands, where Solar World Cinema HQ is based. A training with not only a professionals programme but also a public appearance consisting of sustainable workshops for children on saturday 25th of april in collaboration with Ontdekstation013 and ofcourse a free Solar Cinema screening.
In the run-up to our Meet Up we have started a research programme with the local 2C Cobbenhagen Lyceum, for a group of students to develop possible ideas for our ‘future’ solar cinema.
As our work is international we will also visit our partner film festival MOOOV, specialist in programming ‘films facing the world’ to a very broad audience. Using film as a tool for social change.
